Exciting opportunity for an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our growing team! Lee Health Heart Institute is currently seeking a Heart Failure Cardiologist with expertise and training in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation to join the Advanced Heart Failure Center at the Lee Health Heart Institute in Fort Myers, Florida. This is an integrated cardiology and surgical program that provides high-quality, comprehensive care in all spectrums of diagnostic and therapeutic heart failure services in Southwest Florida. Lee Health Heart Institute has an established, full‑service cardiothoracic surgical service performing 1,300 open heart surgeries, 3,700 cath procedures and serving annually 4,000 patients admitted for acute heart failure. The Heart Park Medical Center is the hub hospital for Cardiogenic Shock Program which offers surgical Impella and ECMO treatments and encompasses four large volume hospital system totaling 1,890 licensed beds. The AHF program collaborates with the regional heart transplant centers for cardiac replacement therapies. Qualified Candidates Should Be: BC/BE by the ABIM in Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Completion of an ACGME accredited heart failure fellowship Proficient in management of LVAD, heart transplant and short‑term mechanical support devices including Impella and ECMO More than 5 years post‑fellowship experience is preferred but graduating fellows are welcome to apply Eager to work in a growing, high‑volume practice and have excellent interpersonal skills.
