Overview Our purpose, our promise – to make a positive difference in every life we touch. Piedmont Atlanta Hospital's Fall 2026 RN Residency Program will begin October/November 2026. Our 12‑month, comprehensive, transition‑to‑practice RN Residency program facilitates your progress from student to professional nurse through education, mentorship and peer support. Our program prepares new graduate nurses by teaching the knowledge, skills and behaviors that are necessary to continuously improve quality and safety at the point of care. It combines precepted orientation, led by dedicated preceptors, with blended learning experiences. Opportunities available in Acute Care, Critical Care, Emergency Department, Women’s Services, Cardiovascular Progressive Care, Operating Room, Cardiovascular Operating Room, Transplant, and more! Responsibilities The Staff RN provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Leadership skills, effective communication skills, initiative, independent judgment, ability to handle stressful environments.
