• Role Purpose
• The Welder supports manufacturing operations by performing precision welding on sheet metal components for a variety of customer applications. This position is ideal for individuals with foundational welding experience seeking to further develop technical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Scope & Responsibilities
• Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on precision sheet metal components, including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work orders to ensure compliance with customer and engineering specifications
• Set up welding equipment and select appropriate wire, gas, amperage, and machine settings based on material type and thickness
• Inspect completed welds for quality, structural integrity, and conformance to dimensional tolerances
• Grind, clean, and finish welded parts to meet appearance and quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in accordance with company safety and housekeeping requirements
• Follow all documented procedures, work instructions, and quality standards during production activities
• Collaborate with production, quality, and supervisory personnel to support on-time delivery requirements
• Communicate job progress, equipment concerns, and production issues promptly to supervisors
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on welding efficiency, productivity, and product quality
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs

• Work Experience & Skills
• Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of a welding certificate program, vocational training, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred

• Experience

• 0-2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred

• Skills / Knowledge

• Required minimum 3 years' experience with GTAW Tig welding Process. Able to weld sheet metal Aluminum, Carbon steel, and Stainless steel 16 gauge up to ¼ inch thick material.

• Knowledge of GMAW Mig welding process for carbon steel and aluminum.
• Able to pass multiple welder certification testing, AWS D1.2, AWS D1.6, AWS D9.1 and AWS D17.1. within a 3-month time period.
• Able to read blueprints, drawings and interpret weld symbols. Use of measuring tools ,dial calipers, and weld gauges etc. Check and straighten parts for flatness, squareness.
• Maintain dimensional tolerances from .010" to .030". for critical components.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations. Understand welding procedures and written weld instructions.

• Basic knowledge of MIG and TIG welding processes
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math calculations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
• Understanding of weld preparation and metal finishing techniques
• Familiarity with precision sheet metal fabrication processes preferred
• Basic understanding of workplace safety standards and PPE requirements

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Working Conditions

• Work is performed primarily on a manufacturing floor environment
• Exposure to welding fumes, noise, heat, sparks, and industrial equipment
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and protective clothing

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds regularly
• Manual dexterity and steady hand coordination required to perform precision welding tasks
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing conditions
