Flamin’ Pasta is a growing fast-casual restaurant specializing in fresh, flavorful pasta made to order. We are an owner-operated business with plans for continued growth and potential franchising in the near future.

We are looking for an experienced, dependable Assistant Manager / Operations Lead to become a key part of our team and help oversee the day-to-day operation of our restaurant.

This is more than a shift-supervisor position. We are looking for someone who is organized, responsible, hands-on, and capable of taking ownership of daily operations while working closely with the owners.

About the Position

The Bilingual (English/Spanish)Assistant Manager / Operations Lead will help ensure that the restaurant operates smoothly, efficiently, and consistently every day.

You will work closely with the owners and restaurant team and will be responsible for helping manage scheduling, ordering, inventory, employees, customer service, training, and overall restaurant standards.

The ideal candidate is someone who naturally takes initiative, notices what needs to be done, and follows through without needing constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations

• Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure company standards are followed
• Open and/or close the restaurant as scheduled
• Ensure food quality, portioning, presentation, cleanliness, and customer-service standards are maintained
• Monitor restaurant flow and help resolve operational issues
• Ensure opening, closing, cleaning, and operational checklists are completed

Scheduling & Team Management

• Prepare weekly employee schedules based on business needs
• Coordinate coverage for call-outs and schedule changes
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, and employee performance
• Train and coach employees on company procedures and expectations
• Provide feedback and address routine performance issues professionally
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace

Ordering & Inventory

• Place routine food, beverage, packaging, and restaurant supply orders
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure products are available when needed
• Receive and verify deliveries
• Monitor product usage, waste, and portion control
• Communicate shortages, product issues, equipment problems, and other concerns to ownership

Customer Service

• Handle routine customer concerns professionally and efficiently
• Resolve service issues while protecting the guest experience and company standards
• Lead by example in providing friendly, professional customer service

Administrative & Operational Support

• Maintain accurate operational records and checklists
• Help monitor labor, inventory, waste, and other basic restaurant performance indicators
• Communicate important issues and recommendations to ownership
• Help implement new procedures and systems as the company grows

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Fluency in both English and Spanish
• 3+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred
• Experience in fast-casual, quick-service, or high-volume restaurants strongly preferred
• Experience creating employee schedules
• Experience with restaurant ordering and inventory
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation
• Experience training and coaching employees
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Basic computer/POS skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound day-to-day decisions
• A strong sense of accountability and follow-through
• Professional, calm, and respectful leadership style
