Station Manager

Overview The Station Manager is accountable for the P&L and operational oversight and management of the station, ensuring quality service, customer satisfaction, and operational proficiency to achieve growth and profitability goals. The role requires implementing and complying with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines, and managing business development activities for the dedicated region. Responsibilities Lead and manage all station functions to ensure service agreements are executed. Maximize profitability through superior customer service, effective communication, and follow‑up on pending matters. Drive business development, sales, marketing, and new account development to generate transportation revenue. Guide station staff on operations, communications, human resources, revenue enhancement, and process execution to meet customer needs. Develop and execute plans to meet organizational needs and ensure compliance with corporate policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Analyze activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to assess progress toward business development goals. Review and evaluate station P&L performance and set short‑term goals to address budgetary shortfalls. Collaborate with senior management to implement continuous improvement, use KPIs to drive cost optimization while maintaining service quality. Ensure freight is expedited safely and timely. Maintain safety methods and programs. Use communication skills to motivate staff and build relationships with peers, executives, and clients. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma with equivalent experience may be considered. Minimum 5 years industry experience in logistics, domestic and international. Minimum 3 years supervisory or managerial experience. Valid driver’s license. Experience managing a full P&L. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel). Able to perform all aspects of domestic and international operations. Strong organizational skills in a high‑volume, fast‑work environment. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills. Leadership ability to manage diverse workforce. Problem‑solving skills with leadership qualities. Excellent decision‑making and management skills.
