About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Accounting to provide strategic and hands-on leadership for its sophisticated accounting function. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing accounting strategy and oversight across the organization's various legal entities, ensuring the maintenance of accurate records. This role involves guiding technical accounting decisions, strengthening financial reporting practices, and bringing structure to complex accounting matters at the entity, investor, and project levels. The VP of Accounting will also be a key partner to executive leadership, legal, compliance, and external advisors, supporting sound decision-making and scalable operations. Applicants for the VP of Accounting position at the company must have a CPA designation and significant senior-level accounting leadership experience, particularly in complex multi-entity environments. Deep knowledge of technical accounting research, policy development, and the ability to document conclusions on non-routine transactions is essential. The role requires a strong background in financial reporting, month-end close, and balance sheet oversight, as well as experience in partnership taxation and collaboration with external tax advisors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of improving processes, controls, and reporting structures within a growing organization, and possess strong communication and leadership skills to effectively partner with various stakeholders.
