Work Environment

This full-time role is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital, equipped with advanced therapy technologies and facilities. As a PTA, you will be interacting with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes holistic patient care. We typically operate Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in executing and modifying treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Provide direct, hands-on therapy to patients, utilizing techniques such as manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
• Educate patients and their families on exercise regimens, mobility training, and activities important for successful rehabilitation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress in accordance with facility standards, utilizing electronic health record systems.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient interventions and ensure comprehensive care.
• Implement trigger point therapy techniques as appropriate to aid in patient recovery.
• Engage with occupational health initiatives, contributing to preventive measures and wellness programs within the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, or an equivalent qualification in a PTA program.
• Active state certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a PTA, preferably in a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Proficient in a variety of manual therapy techniques and therapeutic interventions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The competitive salary for this full-time Physical Therapy Assistant position ranges from USD 50,000 to 70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
