What you will be doing:

Financial Close and Reporting

• Review monthly accounting close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analytical review of operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.
• Implement, document, and maintain efficient processes to improve the close and reporting cycles, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Responsible for meeting all financial and tax reporting requirements for corporate consolidation, including the issuance of month-end reports and financial analysis.
• Responsible for maintaining daily financial reporting and weekly KPI deliverables.
• Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly P&L and cash flow forecasting.
• Support the preparation of the annual budget.

Internal Controls and Compliance

• Implement, document, and maintain a strong system of internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures.
• Support internal and external audits.

Inventory Management

• Manage cost accounting and the inventory subledger, including the annual overhead rate change and periodic cost rolls.
• Lead physical inventory counts and analyze inventory adjustments and reserves.

Team Management

• Supervise the AR Specialist and AP support staff.
• Lead performance management and professional development for direct reports.

Operational Support

• Provide financial and operational guidance to improve business efficiency.
• Present financial justifications for capital expenditures.
• Safeguard assets and oversee periodic physical inventories of fixed assets.
• Perform additional ad-hoc duties as assigned.

What you need to qualify:

• 5+ years of progressive manufacturing accounting/finance experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in database and accounting systems.
• Bachelor’s degree, Finance or Accounting required.
• ERP system conversion experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, cost accounting, and government contract compliance.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
