Location UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion: Aurora, CO Department Radiology Work Schedule Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift Days Pay $40.40 - $56.56 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. Summary Performs mammography procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Responsibilities Review patient history and physician's orders; schedule appointments. Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as ordered, within scope of practice. Monitor patient condition continuously and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate. Assist physicians with interventional procedures, including fine‑needle aspiration and needle localization. Prepare equipment and supplies; select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoot, resolve, and report equipment malfunctions as necessary. Ensure compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) regulations. Position patients and perform imaging procedures. Analyze imaging results, identify quality issues, and take action to resolve them, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures. Enter, transmit, and report scan results. Apply critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision; perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Requirements Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Mammography (M) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or ARRT‑R plus State Provisional Mammographer registration and ARRT‑M within 12 months. State licensure, if required by law. Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with card in hand before start date; BLS or CPR card must remain valid through 60 days of hire.
