Accounting Assistant | Office Manager

We're seeking an Accounting Assistant who brings a warm, professional presence and thrives in the details of construction administration, particularly in Accounts Payable. Position Summary This in-office role combines front desk reception duties with construction AP support and office management. You’ll be the face and heartbeat of our office—greeting guests, managing office logistics, and supporting our accounting and project management teams. This position may be available on a part-time (30 hours) or full-time (40 hours) basis. Key Responsibilities Greet visitors and answer incoming calls with professionalism and a positive attitude Manage mail, deliveries, and office supplies Assist with Accounts Payable duties specific to construction (coding invoices, working with subcontractors & management team) Coordinate vendor communication and paperwork compliance Support project managers with administrative tasks and document management Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient office environment Requirements Previous experience in a construction office is required Solid understanding of construction Accounts Payable workflows (coding, lien waivers, invoices) Friendly, polished communication skills—written and verbal Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and construction software (Procore, Sage or similar, a plus) Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks Self-starter with “office manager energy”—you notice what needs to be done and make it happen What We Offer Paid time off and holidays (full time) Health benefits (full time) Growth potential in a collaborative, tight-knit team A workplace where your personality and professionalism both matter Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing and Finance Construction #J-18808-Ljbffr IKON CONSTRUCTION
