Barberton Mancan is assisting a local family owned Barberton restaurant looking for an experienced cook.

Pay Rate is based off of experience.
With a raise after 30 days
Schedule will vary - Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
This is a part time- 20-30 hrs a week

Job Overview: A restaurant cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring food quality, safety, and presentation standards are met. They work as part of a culinary team and follow established recipes and procedures to deliver high-quality meals to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients, including cutting, chopping, and measuring, to meet recipe requirements. Ensure all food is fresh and ready for service.
Cooking: Cook dishes following established recipes, methods, and cooking techniques. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to perfection.
Station Management: Take charge of a specific station or section in the kitchen, such as the grill, saut, fryer, or salad station. Organize and manage the preparation of dishes for that section.
Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's quality and presentation standards. Taste dishes regularly to check for seasoning and flavor.
Food Safety: Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage, handling, and cooking of food. Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace.
Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Communicate effectively and assist with plating and expediting orders during busy periods.
Menu Knowledge: Stay updated on the restaurant's menu items, specials, and changes. Answer customer questions about dishes and make recommendations as needed.
Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels of ingredients, reporting shortages, and participating in the ordering process when required.
Adaptability: Be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
