Finance and Strategy Manager

Payactiv is seeking an experienced Finance and Strategy Manager to lead and scale the Finance & Strategy function for a multi-million-dollar business partnership. This role requires a strong people leader with experience managing cross-functional, international teams, a sharp analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills including the ability to engage directly with clients. The ideal candidate will drive both short- and long-term initiatives to improve collections and lower loss rates, lead process improvements, and operate effectively in a high-visibility environment. This position reports to the Senior Finance Manager and is based in our Milpitas, CA office. What you will do… Team Leadership & Strategic Collaboration Lead, develop, and scale an international finance operations team of 5+ professionals focused on improving collections performance and reducing loss rates for Payactiv disbursements Partner closely with cross-functional leaders across Business, FP&A, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to support and advance high-impact business initiatives Communication & Client Engagement Communicate clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences, including executives, cross-functional partners, and external clients Engage directly with clients to explain our product, address any concerns, and recoup any outstanding amounts Internal Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable processes and internal controls to manage an ecosystem of tens of thousands of individual accounts, maximizing revenue while minimizing uncollected balances Drive operational efficiency through automation and technology, enabling the team to effectively manage volume, complexity, and growth Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to build, enhance, and integrate new tools and systems within Payactiv’s broader platform and ecosystem Highly Analytical & Data-Driven Approach Leverage large and complex data sets to analyze business trends, loss drivers, and performance metrics, generating actionable insights that improve both top-line and bottom-line results Translate analytical insights into new or enhanced tools, processes, and operating strategies that deliver measurable business impact What you need… Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science or a related field An advanced degree (MBA, Engineering, Data Science) is preferred 5+ years of progressive Finance, Strategy, Operations or Analytics experience, with 3+ years as a team manager Strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with customers, partners and various stakeholders Ability to manage, prioritize, and deliver multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines Power user in Excel and big data tools (e.g., Python Pandas, SQL, etc) Expertise in analyzing large datasets and generating actionable insights What we offer… Company sponsored Health, Dental, and Vision insurance 401K, traditional, and Roth with a company match Tuition Assistance or Tuition Reimbursement Unlimited Paid Time off Monthly Gym Reimbursement Paid time off to volunteer Paid Family Leave Complimentary office lunches Opportunity to grow Opportunity to work with a great team committed to making a difference.
