Manual Mill Machinist

Morrison Container Handling Solutions is looking for an experienced Manual Mill Machinist to join our production team. This position is responsible for safely setting up and operating manual milling equipment to produce accurate, high-quality components. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate manual milling machines using drawings, data sheets, and job specifications. Perform milling, drilling, boring, tapping, counterboring, facing, and other machining operations. Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, fixtures, and machining methods. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, dimensions, and tolerances. Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and other precision measuring tools. Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy. Work with Engineering and Production on new or non-routine machining jobs. Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean, safe, and organized. Support production priorities and follow all company safety and quality procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of manual machining experience preferred. Experience operating manual milling machines. Strong blueprint-reading and shop math skills. Ability to use precision measuring equipment and work within tight tolerances. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft 365 and ERP systems.
