Business Development Associate

Job Overview As the Business Development Associate (BDA), you will drive Financial Advisor lead flow to LPL’s Advisor Recruiting team to increase sales through phone-based prospecting, email campaigns, and social media outreach. You will qualify leads, present high‑quality prospects to managers, and track results in Salesforce. Responsibilities Prospect financial advisors to gauge or create interest in meeting with an LPL recruiter. Use the news cycle, territory makeup, and recruiter direction to execute weekly prospecting campaigns. Use independent judgement to qualify a lead, determining whether to introduce it to the pipeline by presenting to the Internal Regional Director or field Regional Director. Make 100 outreaches per day—primarily cold calls, individual emails, and social media outreach (LinkedIn). Utilize Salesforce.com to track individual KPIs and understand the impact of lead flow on the territory funnel and results. Develop knowledge and industry experience to qualify for the next level opportunity as an Internal Regional Director. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field. Effective communication with leadership, field recruiting professionals, and internal recruiters. Must be in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday–Thursday). Core Competencies Highly motivated and resilient, consistently achieving sales targets. Rapid rapport building via phone communication. Comfortable with occasional travel (twice per year for training). Technical Skills Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Salesforce, and MS Outlook. Understanding of broker/dealer, advisory, finance, or sales principals. Compensation Pay does not reflect total compensation potential. Pay range: $25.24–$42.07 per hour. Base salary is determined by skill, experience, education, peer benchmarks, and geography. Incentive compensation is tied to achievement of goals per the incentive plan.
