About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in Interventional Radiology - Experience with PICC and bedside procedural skills - Proficiency in EPIC charting system Description: The position involves providing nursing care in the Interventional Radiology department. The role requires assisting with central line insertion and management, chest tube placement, and other procedures. Emergency medication knowledge and infection prevention practices are essential. Candidates must be capable of interpreting and managing dysrhythmias. Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring is required. The nurse will be responsible for maintaining and starting IVs and conducting thoracentesis. The department supports a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary collaboration with respiratory services, interpretation services, and pharmacy is expected. The role involves performing various special procedures and patient diagnostics related to cancer. Flexibility to float to different areas if needed may be required. Travel experience is preferred. Candidates must provide two professional references, one of which should be from a manager or director. Current employees of the organization are ineligible for this travel assignment. All candidates must have completed education from an accredited nursing program.
