Pride Health is hiring a Pre-Analytical Assistant I to support our client’s laboratory facility.
This is a 6+ months contract opportunity with a possible extension and an excellent way to gain experience working with a leading healthcare organization!

Location: Miramar, FL 33025
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 6am-230pm (40hrs/week)
Pay Range: $17.20/hr (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials. The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume.)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform specimen processing activities including sorting, racking, centrifuging, aliquoting, labeling, and storage of laboratory specimens.
• Receive and prepare specimens for testing while ensuring proper handling and maintaining specimen integrity.
• Identify and resolve specimen issues including missing information, incorrect specimen types, labeling errors, and processing concerns.
• Accurately enter data, complete documentation, and maintain records according to laboratory procedures and compliance standards.
• Review test orders and specimen requirements to ensure proper processing and routing.
• Transport specimens within the laboratory while following safety guidelines and established protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to laboratory safety, compliance, and quality standards.
• Work efficiently in a high-volume production environment while meeting accuracy and productivity expectations.
• Support team operations by adapting to schedule changes, additional responsibilities, weekends, holidays, or overtime as needed.

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.

Work Experience:

• Previous laboratory, healthcare, medical, or specimen processing experience preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a clinical, laboratory, production, or healthcare environment preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology and specimen handling is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

• Strong understanding of spoken and written English required.
• Bilingual candidates (Spanish-speaking) preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and ability to report to scheduled shifts on time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with repetitive tasks.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Must follow all safety, compliance, and workplace procedures while working in a biohazard environment.
