Part-Time Payroll Specialist - ADP Workforce Now

TBest Services Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with strong, hands-on experience using ADP Workforce Now to support our payroll and HR operations.

This position will be responsible for supporting biweekly payroll processing, employee timekeeping, payroll records, onboarding and offboarding, employee changes, and general payroll administration .

The ideal candidate is someone who can confidently navigate ADP Workforce Now, understands payroll processes for hourly employees, and is comfortable identifying and resolving payroll and timekeeping discrepancies. Accuracy, confidentiality, organization, and the ability to meet strict payroll deadlines are essential for this role.

This is a hybrid position based in Elkridge, Maryland , with approximately 50% of the work performed onsite and 50% remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Processing & ADP Workforce Now

• Process biweekly payroll accurately and on schedule using ADP Workforce Now .

• Review payroll information prior to processing to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Review employee hours, timecards, regular hours, overtime, and other payroll-related information.

• Identify and resolve missing punches, incorrect hours, timekeeping discrepancies, and other payroll exceptions.

• Enter and maintain employee payroll information within ADP Workforce Now.

• Process payroll adjustments, corrections, and employee changes as needed.

• Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation.

• Assist with payroll reconciliation and payroll reporting.

• Help resolve payroll discrepancies and payment-related issues in a timely manner.

Employee Records & Timekeeping

• Maintain accurate employee records within ADP Workforce Now and related systems.

• Review and update employee status, compensation, payroll, and personal information.

• Monitor timekeeping records and follow up on missing or inaccurate information.

• Maintain documentation related to employee hours, attendance, and payroll changes.

• Ensure employee information is updated accurately before payroll deadlines.

• Handle confidential employee and payroll information with discretion.

Onboarding & Offboarding

• Support employee onboarding and setup within ADP Workforce Now.

• Enter and verify new hire information before payroll processing.

• Review required payroll information, including tax and direct deposit documentation.

• Process employee terminations and other status changes.

• Assist with offboarding and ensure final employee information is properly documented.

• Coordinate with HR and management regarding new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and other employee updates affecting payroll.

Payroll & Employee Support

• Respond to employee questions regarding payroll, hours worked, deductions, direct deposits, and payroll discrepancies.

• Assist employees with payroll-related documentation and information updates.

• Help resolve payroll issues professionally and efficiently.

• Communicate with employees and management regarding missing or incorrect payroll information.

• Provide general HR and payroll administrative support as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Previous hands-on payroll processing experience .

• Strong experience with ADP Workforce Now is highly preferred.

• Experience processing or supporting biweekly payroll.

• Experience reviewing employee timecards and timekeeping information.

• Understanding of regular hours, overtime, payroll adjustments, deductions, and employee payroll records.

• Experience with employee onboarding and offboarding.

• Ability to identify and resolve payroll and timekeeping discrepancies.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to payroll accuracy.

• Ability to meet strict payroll processing deadlines.

• Ability to handle confidential payroll and employee information professionally.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll and employee administration .

• Experience processing payroll for hourly employees.

• Experience supporting a high-volume workforce.

• Experience with payroll reconciliation and reporting.

• Experience managing employee timekeeping and attendance.

• Experience processing W-4 information, direct deposit updates, deductions, and payroll changes.

• Knowledge of federal and Maryland wage and hour requirements.

• Experience in staffing, manufacturing, warehouse, hospitality, or another environment with a large hourly workforce.

• Previous HR administration or employee-record management experience.

Work Location & Hybrid Arrangement

This position is based in Elkridge, Maryland and will operate on a hybrid 50/50 schedule .

The selected candidate should expect to work approximately 50% onsite in Elkridge and 50% remotely , depending on payroll deadlines, training requirements, meetings, and business needs.

Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Elkridge, MD and be available to work onsite when required.

Schedule

Part-Time Approximately 4 hours per day

Specific working hours may be coordinated based on payroll processing requirements and business needs. Availability around payroll deadlines is important.

Compensation

$22 $28 per hour , depending on experience.

Candidates with strong hands-on experience in ADP Workforce Now, payroll processing, timekeeping, payroll reconciliation, and high-volume hourly payroll administration may qualify toward the higher end of the range.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is not simply familiar with ADP but has personally worked within ADP Workforce Now and participated directly in payroll processing .

We are particularly interested in someone who can review employee hours, identify payroll discrepancies, maintain accurate employee information, process payroll changes, assist with onboarding and offboarding, and ensure payroll is completed accurately and on time.
