RN - Case Manager

Job OpportunitySeeking a skilled individual to join our team for a day shift, working a consistent 5x8-hour schedule from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM. This position requires a commitment to providing care every other weekend and necessitates acute care experience.ResponsibilitiesManage case coordination, ensuring patients receive appropriate services and care.Oversee admission criteria and participate in discharge planning.Assure compliance with health regulations and standards, including HIPAA guidelines.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess patient needs and facilitate communication.Handle prior authorizations and appeals as required.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of acute care experience required.Experience in case management and familiarity with relevant health care regulations.Proficient in Epic charting system.Travel experience preferred but not mandatory.Strong understanding of HMO and IPA processes, as well as advance directives.Working ConditionsPosition will require floating between similar units as necessary. Candidates must be comfortable working flexible shifts and may be called upon to work during holidays.LocationThis opportunity is located in Eureka, California, known for its natural beauty and proximity to numerous national and state parks.
