Our client, a prominent AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney with litigation experience to join its Hartford office supporting its commercial litigation practice . This opportunity is ideal for a junior associate who is eager to develop a broad-based litigation practice within a collaborative, high-performance law firm environment. The role offers hands‑on experience handling matters in both state and federal courts , with meaningful responsibility and direct client interaction. Candidate Profile JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record Active Bar Admission in Connecticut , in good standing 1-3 years ofsubstantive commercial litigation experience Experience handling litigation matters in state and federal courts within a law firm setting Exposure to employment law–related issues is a plus, but not required Judicial clerkship experience is valued, though not mandatory Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills , with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Demonstrated commitment to client service , professionalism, and high-quality work product Key Responsibilities Handle sophisticated commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts across Connecticut Draft pleadings , motions , briefs , discovery materials and other litigation‑related documents Participate in depositions , hearings , and court proceedings as experience allows Conduct legal research and support case strategy development Support all phases of case management , including strategy development and trial preparation Work closely with senior litigators on complex disputes with high‑profile clients Why Join Us?
