Litigation Associate

Description Clark Partington, a Gulf Coast regional law firm with a professional, collaborative culture and modern work environment is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing team in Pensacola. Qualified candidates will be admitted to practice in Florida and have 1-5 years of litigation experience, including taking and defending depositions; preparing and responding to discovery; drafting appropriate pleadings; researching, drafting and arguing motions; and preparing for mediations and trial. Ideal candidates will be able to write effectively, think strategically and critically, and have practiced in one or more areas of civil litigation, such as construction, real estate, contract, employment, directors’ and officers’ liability, and professional liability. More information about the firm’s practice, its attorneys, staff and recognitions may be found at REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES Experience drafting pleadings and related documents for state and federal litigation and arbitration. Drafting and arguing motions, including dispositive motions. Managing litigation and litigation strategy from inception through discovery and trial. High level of detail-orientation and exceptional research, writing and proofreading skills. Working knowledge of the processes of State and Federal litigation including trial procedures, discovery and document production. Professionally work with the Court, other attorneys, and offices of opposing counsel. Advising clients on legal risks and compliance in litigation and commercial transactions. Experience preparing for and attending mediation and negotiating resolutions of legal disputes. Experience with case and document management applications such as Everlaw is preferred. QUALIFICATIONS Law Degree from Accredited Law School. Member in Good Standing, The Florida Bar. Experience – 1-5 Years. Salary starting at $80,000 and commensurate with experience.
