We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to support travel-related purchasing and funding activities for a long-term contract opportunity in Auburn, New Hampshire. This role focuses on coordinating bookings, confirming financial availability, and addressing issues that could affect timely procurement and travel arrangements. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple purchasing tasks while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase inventory, materials, and company supplies to support daily operations and project needs.
• Monitor inventory levels, reorder points, and lead times to ensure adequate stock while preventing shortages and excess inventory.
• Obtain quotes, compare vendors, and negotiate pricing when appropriate.
• Track open purchase orders, confirm delivery dates, and expedite urgent shipments as needed.
• Resolve purchasing, receiving, and invoicing discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data within the ERP system.
• Research new suppliers and identify cost-saving opportunities related to materials and freight.
• Provide occasional backup support for travel-related purchasing and expense processing.

• Experience supporting purchasing, procurement coordination, or travel-related buying activities.
• Working knowledge of purchasing processes, funding validation, and transaction tracking.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and take prompt action to resolve billing or account issues.
• Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams.
• Proficiency in purchasing administration and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Background in purchasing planning and purchasing management is preferred.
