Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing team. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert tax guidance, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in tax accounting and a desire to grow within a forward-thinking CPA firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Tax Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive tax strategies for individual and business clients, ensuring compliance while maximizing tax efficiency.
• Client Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor in tax-related matters.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and review complex tax returns, including federal, state, and local tax filings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
• Research and Analysis: Stay current with changing tax laws and regulations, conducting research to provide innovative tax solutions for clients.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide a holistic financial approach for clients, addressing their broader financial needs.
• Supervision and Training: Mentor and guide junior team members, assisting in their professional development.
• Client Representation: Represent clients in tax audits, negotiations, and other interactions with tax authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active CPA license preferred. EA is also nice to have.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably within a CPA firm.
• Proficiency in tax compliance software and financial analysis tools.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to staying updated on industry developments and tax legislation changes.
