Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Stepdown unit to provide comprehensive care to cardiac patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to manage complex patient cases in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient cardiac status, including telemetry interpretation and hemodynamic stability.
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders while ensuring patient safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and medication management.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety regulations, including completing required modules during orientation.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in good standing with current state accreditation.
• Minimum of 2 years of cardiac stepdown experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in telemetry monitoring and arterial/venous access management.
• Hold current ACLS and BLS certification.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred.
• Charge nurse experience required.
