Payroll and Benefits Coordinator

This is a Full Time Opportunity, Paying an Hourly Rate of up to $26.00 per hour, depending upon Level of Experience, Plus Full Benefits, including Choice of Healthcare Plans, PTO, 401k w/Company Match, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Teledoc, and Much More! Responsibilties of the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator:
- Review timecards for descrepancies
- Make payroll entries
- Calculate bonuses
- Add increases/deductions
- Process payroll
- Print and mail agency checks
- Save final reports
- Administer health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, and wellness programs
- Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS and carrier systems
- Coordinate annual open enrollment, including communications and system updates
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding coverage, eligibility, and claims
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve carrier issues
- Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate benefits records and prepare compliance reports
- Support special projects and continuous improvement of benefit programs
- Manage Union Health & Welfare fund, dues and pension payments
- Experience as a payroll clerk; healthcare environment preferred
- Knowledge of Paylocity a plus
- Knowledge of wage withholding orders, including child support
- Experience with HRIS and benefits administration platforms
- Organizational skills for managing enrollments and compliance
- Vendor management and problem-solving abilities
- Data accuracy and record-keeping skills
- Proficient with Microsoft 365, EXCEL
- Strong communication and customer service skills
