The Rod Buster/Ironworker plays a crucial role in commercial construction and infrastructure projects, specializing in the installation of reinforcing steel to strengthen concrete structures. Working primarily within medium-sized teams of 6-15 members, this role involves collaborating closely with supervisors and team members to ensure all structural components are assembled safely and accurately. The position requires limited travel to multiple job sites and focuses heavily on adherence to safety standards and blueprint interpretations.

Responsibilities

• Install rebar according to specifications to reinforce concrete structures
• Set up formwork for concrete pouring and structural support
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans accurately
• Comply with safety regulations and company safety policies
• Assemble structural components ensuring stability and alignment
• Handle and manage materials and loads safely on site

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in ironwork
• High school diploma or equivalent
• OSHA Safety Certification
• Proficient in blueprint reading
• Skilled in rebar tying techniques
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
