GREAT FOOD STARTS WITH A GREAT TEAM! We have immediate positions available for morning prep cook. Responsibilities To wash, cut, prepare, and season vegetables following Mr. Shawarma recipes To follow all safety and security policies set by the Restaurant To assemble and serve fresh food prepared to Mr. Shawarma standards To use sanitation practices to handle and prepare food To follow the recipes and use the correct measurements while preparing food To clean and organize kitchen, workstations, and dry goods in the back of the house To comply with the Mr. Shawarma uniform and personal hygiene policies To follow all the safety procedures & policies in regards to each pieces of equipment in the Restaurant To perform any additional tasks necessary to run the back of the house or supplying food items in the front of the house Qualifications Legally able to work within the State and Federal guidelines Food Handler’s card is required Great customer service, ability to work as a team Experience is a plus but not required Physical Requirements Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift Bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds to perform duties like stocking, taking out trash, etc. Constant face to face interactions with crew members and an ability to work together as a team Safely navigate in a fast-paced restaurant environment Ability to multi-task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions Pay & Benefits Pay rate: $12/hr Pay frequency: twice a month Team building and bonding events Opportunity to grow Evaluations on performance every 3 months Working Conditions Shifts are 6 hours or less, depending on work load of the particular day Morning position (9am-3pm) To be comfortable with a high level of change To be prepared to adjust to temperature changes in the kitchen Location: Ghent, Norfolk VA, and Hilltop, Virginia Beach VA. #J-18808-Ljbffr Workstream
