Gynecologic Oncology (Inpatient) Advanced Practice Provider

Rush University Medical Center, a national leader in outstanding patient care, education, research, community partnerships and empowering a new generation of health care providers, invites applications for the position of inpatient Gynecologic Oncology Advanced Practice Provider (APP), with RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center at Rush University Medical Center and its affiliate sites. This inpatient role will support OR activity, post-operative patient care, inpatient chemotherapy, inpatient rounding and quality initiatives for Gynecologic Oncology patients.

Practice alongside six Gynecologic Oncologists and one fellow inpatient APP. Collaborate with four Gynecologic Oncology APPs working in the outpatient setting. Collaborate with residents from the Department of OB/GYN. Rush is ranked #29 by US News & World Report for Cancer care.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Four, 10-hour shifts/week, weekdays only
• 25 beds in the unit
• Report directly to the Gynecologic Oncology Lead APP
• 100% Inpatient

Preferred Qualifications:

• Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Oncology, Gynecology or surgical specialty is preferred, not required. Relevant RN experience may be considered.
• APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification.

Position Requirements:

Nurse Practitioner:

• Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
• Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
• Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
• CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Physician Assistant:

• Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program
• Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
• CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
