Woodland Hills, CA law firm is seeking an experienced full-time Defense Litigation Attorney

Our client is seeking a Defense Litigation Attorney to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take ownership of meaningful litigation matters while working closely with experienced attorneys in a collaborative and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of litigation experience and a strong foundation in civil or insurance defense litigation.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

• Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing.

• 3-5 years of litigation experience, with insurance defense or civil litigation experience strongly preferred.

• Experience handling matters involving insurance defense, auto liability, premises liability, trucking and transportation, or commercial litigation is highly desirable.

• Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

• Commitment to providing exceptional client service and maintaining the highest ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload from inception through resolution, with a focus on insurance defense and trucking/transportation litigation.

• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents.

• Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.

• Conduct legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and develop effective case strategies.

• Communicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other parties to ensure effective case management.

• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to efficiently move matters toward resolution while maintaining high-quality legal work.

Position: On-site (hybrid or remote for the right candidate)

Billable Hours: 165 per month
