Corporate Procurement Manager

The purpose of this position is to lead the strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier management of all ingredients and packaging materials. As the key procurement leader for direct materials, this role ensures the availability of high-quality, cost-effective ingredients and packaging solutions that support operational efficiency, product innovation, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Function

• Develop, implement, and manage procurement general operating procedures and processes to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Conduct comprehensive operational, technical, and financial assessments of prospective suppliers
• Perform supplier visits to assess capabilities and strengthen partnerships
• Ensure sourcing strategies align with company timelines and budget requirements for new product launches
• Provide support to the supply chain team in resolving supply challenges and disruptions
• Ensure business continuity during supply crises (e.g., geopolitical issues, avian flu, import restrictions)
• Supervise R&D packaging initiatives, drafting the strategy and assuring cross-collaboration
• Lead sourcing efforts to support new projects initiated by the Marketing and R&D teams
• Manage all contractual processes, including Confidentiality Agreements, pricing lock-ins, and contractual terms
• Collaborate with Quality and Accounting teams to obtain required documentation for new ingredients, suppliers, and production sites; assist in addressing supplier-related complaints
• Implement and monitor procurement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance and efficiency
• Establish budget pricing for ingredients and packaging through market analysis, historical data reviews, and supplier quotes
• Maintain accurate procurement and packaging data in the ERP system, including ingredient and packaging creation, cost analysis, allergen roll-ups, and standard costs
• Communicate cost updates, KPI performance, and procurement-related insights with relevant stakeholders
• Analyze sales forecasts and calculate annual ingredient and packaging requirements to facilitate contract negotiations and supplier engagement
• Drive innovation and optimization initiatives for new packaging and ingredient solutions to support product development and cost-saving efforts
• Recommend improvements in processing and packaging alternatives based on industry trends and company needs
• Train, develop, and manage the procurement team, including an Ingredient Sourcing Specialist, a Packaging and Procurement Engineer, and a Procurement Coordinator

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry
• Strong understanding of ingredient and packaging sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skill
• Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally with different department
• Strong leadership and team management experience
• Ability to travel for supplier visits and industry event
