Continuous Improvement Manager I

We are looking to hire a Performance Manager in our CI Department for the Hunt Valley Plant. What We Bring To The Table Competitive compensation Career growth opportunities Flexibility and support for diverse life stages and choices Wellbeing programs including Position Overview This position is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and functional expertise to the Plant for loss analysis, analytics and training systems. The role supports the Plant Leadership Team in the JTE (Journey to Excellence) strategy focused on building employee capability, providing data reliability, system, and driving employee engagement through implementation of high‑performance work systems to achieve exceptional business results. Key Responsibilities 40% – Implement and coach effective JTE systems. Coach direct reports and site employees and SMEs on methodology and tools: Basic performance data and trends Problem solving Root cause analysis Loss reduction projects Autonomous maintenance 30% – Lead and develop the capability of the Continuous Improvement team. Translate strategy into actionable information in a small group in a clear, concise, and professional manner. Demonstrate effective communication and direction setting to direct reports, plant leadership, and regional leaders on JTE progress. Ability to rapidly change and adapt in response to market, customer, or strategy. Engage in the design and implementation of the site systems, utilizing the team to drive improvement of systems. 15% – Lead site data and analytics. Maintain integrity of site data through training, health checks, and change control (scorecards, downtime database, manual tracking systems, and SAP master data). Provide analysis and insights to key performance metrics like process reliability, productivity, yield, and scrap. Create and execute site analytics strategy. Establish scorecard and KPI review processes based on the appropriate frequency and participants. Drive data‑based decision‑making behavior at all levels. 15% – Create visibility to loss data. Own the loss analysis program to support the site’s OGSM and budget targets. Help prioritize loss reduction projects in collaboration with the site leadership team. Provide supporting data analysis and justifications for technology improvements and capital expenditures and feasibility studies. Lead the site‑focused improvement pillar. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline. Minimum of 3 years working in manufacturing operations. Background in total productive maintenance / Lean, change management and organizational effectiveness. Functional/industry/commercial knowledge and business acumen. Experience in CPG preferred. Team and operations leadership experience preferred. Familiarity with creating reports using BI tools such as SAP Hana and Tableau. Experience analyzing complex datasets, generating insights, and building robust statistical models. Ability to analyze complex information to make judgments and decisions; data‑intensive and detail purposeful. Interpersonal skills – leadership, interactions, communication, influence. Change management – create people change plans for strategic initiatives; influence large or high‑risk change initiatives. Customer focus – create intra‑plant collaboration across operations, functional areas, and support areas. Other Skills And HPO Competencies Managing vision & organizational purpose – provide key insights to leadership to influence priority development. Strategy development & deployment – develop action plans, obtain or assign resources, align day‑to‑day processes to achieve strategic goals. Data & analytics – analyze data to gather actionable insights. Project / program management – achieve project goals by applying planning, organizing, and managing resources for successful completion. Financial acumen – understand budgeting, cost‑center ownership, CAAP, IRR, yield, waste, scrap and loss analysis. Effective decision making – use appropriate root cause analysis decision tools. Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $74,330 – $130,080, adjusted for geographic location, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
