Staff Accountant

Bachus & Schanker, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our finance team. Our founding goal is to level the playing field between accident victims and large insurance companies. While our core practice area is personal Injury law, we also handle medical malpractice, mass tort, and sexual assault cases. We are looking for a Staff Accountant who has a commitment to providing superior customer service. This is an in-office position , and will work in our Denver office. The position reports to our Accounting Supervisor and will be responsible for handling Trust Accounting, AR, AP and general ledger accounts. The Colorado community is important to us. You will learn and gain valuable experience in a variety of professional disciplines – the law, medicine, insurance and business practices. Key Responsibilities Updating and monitoring excel spreadsheets Handling Quickbooks entries and account reconciliations Clerical work including scanning, sorting, photocopies, file maintenance Supporting AR, AP, Trust Accounting and other accounting functions Other duties and responsibilities as may be requested Qualifications 4-year Accounting Degree preferred but will consider applicable work experience Law Firm experience or professional corporate experience preferred High level of proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite Strong QuickBooks skills highly preferred Team player with client service mentality Strong general knowledge of accounting processes and terminology Salary and Benefits Compensation range $62,500 to $72,500 DOE Quarterly bonus potential Company paid Employee Medical and Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Company paid Employee Long Term Disability, Term Life, AD&D Short Term Disability Cafeteria Plan including Dependent Care FSA, Parking FSA, Commuter FSA and HSA Additional Voluntary Individual and Family Term Life, AD&D Please visit our website to learn more about us: Any offer made for this position will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background/credit check and drug screen.
