Automotive Title Clerk — Part-Time

American Auto LLC and Expo Auto Group are looking for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Automotive Title Clerk to join our growing dealership operation.

This position will start part-time and includes a one-week initial training period followed by a 60-day probationary period . We are looking for someone who takes pride in accuracy, stays organized, follows through on tasks, and is comfortable handling important dealership and customer documentation.

Automotive title experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly.

What You’ll Do

As our Title Clerk, you will help manage title and administrative functions for both American Auto and Expo Auto Group.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Prepare and process vehicle title paperwork
• Review titles and deal jackets for accuracy and completeness
• Process paperwork for retail sales, trade-ins, auction purchases, and wholesale transactions
• Verify VINs, mileage, ownership information, customer information, signatures, and lien information
• Prepare title and registration documentation
• Maintain an accurate inventory and tracking system for outstanding titles
• Track missing titles, lien releases, signatures, and other required documentation
• Organize and maintain physical and electronic title records
• Scan, file, and securely maintain customer and dealership documents
• Communicate with customers regarding missing or required documentation
• Assist with communication with title offices, lenders, auctions, and other parties
• Identify errors or discrepancies before paperwork is submitted
• Maintain proper separation of records between American Auto and Expo Auto Group
• Assist management with additional administrative duties when needed

Previous experience in an automotive dealership, title office, BMV/DMV, banking, finance, accounting, administrative office, or document-processing environment is a plus.

Automotive title experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.

Training

We don’t expect a new employee to walk in knowing every part of our operation.

The selected candidate will receive an initial one-week training period covering our title workflow, dealership procedures, deal jackets, title inventory, document organization, computer systems, and the separation of paperwork between our two dealership entities.

After training, you will be expected to become increasingly independent while continuing to bring unusual or questionable title situations to management.

60-Day Probationary Period

All candidates hired for this position will begin with a 60-day probationary period .

There may be opportunities for additional hours and expanded responsibilities as the employee becomes proficient and as dealership needs grow.

Schedule

Part-Time to Start

Scheduling will be based on dealership needs and title-processing volume. Reliability and availability during scheduled hours are important.

Our title workflow typically includes preparation, submission, pickup, inventory reconciliation, and follow-up throughout the week.

What Matters Most to Us

Accuracy matters.

Vehicle titles and customer documents are important legal and financial records. We’re looking for someone who understands that details matter and who will take the extra moment to verify information before submitting paperwork.

We would rather have an employee ask a question than guess.

We are also looking for someone who can stay organized without needing constant supervision. If a title or document is outstanding, we expect it to be tracked and followed through until it is resolved.
