Strategic Sourcing Manager

Your role: This is a rare opportunity to be a builder in a world‑class music company. Your work will go beyond contract management; you’ll be the architect of the engine that powers our business operations. Your analytical skills and passion for process improvement will drive value across departments—from IT to Marketing—while making a direct impact on efficiency and profitability. This highly visible position allows you to shape a new procurement function from the ground up and to influence how we do business across WMG. Here you’ll get to: Help implement the foundation of a new procurement department, establishing standard processes and key strategies. Lead the end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle for projects across indirect categories such as Marketing, IT, and Facilities. Proactively lead a portfolio of multi‑million‑dollar contracts, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk. Conduct a detailed spend analysis using your expertise in Microsoft Excel. Enhance procurement processes and workflows to improve efficiency across the organization. Lead RFP, RFQ, and participate in supplier negotiations across indirect categories to secure favorable terms and pricing. Partner with business leaders across WMG to align on their needs and drive strategic outcomes. About you: At least 5 years of experience in indirect procurement, comfortable running RFPs, negotiating with vendors, and leading stakeholders internally at a senior level. Strong communicator capable of speaking to your category and projects to senior leadership. Proven track record of managing multi‑million‑dollar contracts. Extremely detail‑oriented with a sharp eye for contract review. Expert in Microsoft Excel for financial and data analysis. Ability to build strong relationships with collaborators and suppliers. Self‑directed, able to work independently and truly own the area and hit the ground running. We’d love it if you also had: A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business, Finance, Supply/Operations. Experience using Google Suite. Familiarity with building procurement and category strategy. This position requires a minimum of 4 days per week in the office. We value in‑office collaboration, which is essential for talent development and strong working relationships. Range: $120,000 to $135,000 Annually. Pay ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs.
