Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a critical care unit serving adult and geriatric populations, including management of high-acuity diagnoses such as respiratory failure, stroke, STEMI/NSTEMI, cardiogenic shock, septic shock, and post-operative conditions
• Operate and monitor advanced equipment including bedside continuous ECG, ventilators, arterial lines, central venous lines, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), CRRT machines, and IV infusion pumps
• Perform and manage critical care skills including IV starts, blood draws, NG tube placement, ECG rhythm interpretation, ABG and lab interpretation, critical care drip titration, and chest tube management
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures and conscious sedation; communicate with care team via mobile communication platform
• Float as needed to CVICU, Critical Care Step-Down, and Med-Surg units based on census and staffing needs
• Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EHR with clinical access for ICU patients

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience (5 years preferred by facility)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• NIHSS certification
• Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, arterial lines, central venous lines, and critical care drip titration
• Completion of required online learning modules including Moderate Sedation/Analgesia, iStat, and glucometer certifications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a teaching hospital environment working alongside resident physicians
• Experience in a high-acuity ICU managing advanced devices such as CRRT, IABP, and arterial sheath pulls
• Background in SICU, MICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or PCU/Med-Surg settings
