We are seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a small finance team that provides accounting services for multiple clients across the wine, service, and manufacturing industries. This is a forward-facing role, requiring the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level degree of accuracy on behalf of multiple businesses. You’ll work independently and collaboratively with both internal and external teams, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

• Process of day-to-day financial transactions including A/P, A/R, payroll, and bank & credit card reconciliations
• Perform account reconciliations & analysis to produce accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Communicate directly with clients regarding financial activity and questions
• Process payroll and related tax filings (federal, state, and local)
• Liaise with CPAs or tax professionals for audits, tax filings, and compliance
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations
• Provide recommendations for financial processes and efficiencies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience within the wine industry, preferably managing multiple clients
• Experience handling multiple client accounts simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, payroll, and tax filings
• Proficient in QuickBooks (Online/Desktop) and winery specific software
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong communication and client service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities

Salary range: $90-100k depending on experience. This is a highly flexible position offering autonomous work hours and work from home flexibility.
