Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Progressive Care Unit assignment with every other weekend rotation

Highlights:

• 44-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neuro and trauma patient populations
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1 at standard grid capacity
• Utilize Cerner EMR system with advanced monitoring and IV therapy equipment
• Hands-on experience with chest tubes, PCA pumps, trachs, patient lifts, and specialty procedures
• Supportive team environment with dedicated charge nurses, CNAs, and unit coordinators on each shift
• Float opportunities to stepdown and medical-surgical units for skill development

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain
• ACLS certification (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• NIHSS certification (required)
• Neuro and trauma care experience (required)
• Proficiency with IV infusions, chest tubes, PCA pumps, and blood transfusions
• Experience with neuro and spinal assessments, C-collar placement, and TLSO braces preferred
• Knowledge of feeding tube placement and lumbar drain management a plus
