Extruder Operator - AM/PM Shifts AvailableOH Middlefield - Middlefield, OH 44062Salary Range $21.59 HourlyOverviewThe purpose of the Advanced Machine Operator is to perform full and comprehensive operation of extrusion and/or thermoforming manufacturing machines to produce company products of the highest quality. This position requires you to work in a warm temperature environment throughout your shift. You would be required to obtain a full range of motion from standing, reaching, moving, bending, and lifting up to 50lbs as necessary.Key ResponsibilitiesOperates thermoforming, extrusion, packaging, and material handling equipment as required in a safe and professional mannerThe ability to occasionally lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and or move up to 40 poundsObserves and always follow and model all safety policies and proceduresMonitors machines or equipment for alarms, indicators, and or unusual sounds to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with leads to diagnose problem or repair machineCleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machineryLeads by example and performs all job duties in accordance with Growscape valuesSupports all company policies and proceduresPerforms other administrative tasks and special projects as assignedQualificationsMust be able understand the technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipmentMust be able to demonstrate critical thinking, reading comprehension, basic math skills, blueprintsMust be able to demonstrate problem-solving skillsMust adhere to all safety guidelines and foster a safe work cultureMust be able to accurately complete paperwork as neededOrganizational skillsMust demonstrate time management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrate the ability to critical think and problem solve with relation to mechanical and production challengesAbility to work in a team-oriented work environment
