Huffman’s Prime Steakhouse is seeking an experienced, motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team.

As one of West Virginia’s top-rated steakhouses, we take pride in delivering an elevated dining experience built around exceptional food, consistency, presentation, and hospitality. We’re looking for someone who takes the same pride in their kitchen.

The Sous Chef will work closely with our Executive Chef and ownership to oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, lead and develop our culinary team, and ensure every plate leaving the kitchen meets Huffman’s standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in leading and supervising daily kitchen operations
• Maintain exceptional standards for food quality, preparation, and presentation
• Lead, train, and hold kitchen team members accountable
• Help coordinate prep, service, and closing procedures
• Maintain consistency in recipes, portions, and plating
• Assist with inventory, ordering, food cost, and waste control
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed
• Help create an efficient, positive, team-oriented kitchen culture
• Step into leadership during service and help keep the kitchen organized and moving during high-volume periods
