Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, including initial assessment, triage, ongoing monitoring, and timely documentation of care.
- Administer medications, start IVs, manage airway support, and perform life-saving interventions per physician orders and ED protocols.
- Monitor patient status, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with the rapid response and code teams as indicated.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers; communicate effectively with patients and families; advocate for patient rights and needs.
- Maintain accurate charting and compliance with established policies; uphold professional standards and ethical practice in line with applicable nursing regulations.
- Participate in discharge planning, patient education, and referrals to appropriate follow-up resources.

Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia (active GA RN license).
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; eligible for Georgia licensure (licensure by endorsement or examination).
- Emergency Department experience preferred; capable of performing in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting.
- Ability to work nights in a hospital ED environment; strong critical thinking, situational awareness, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and standard nursing procedures; commitment to evidence-based practice.
