Senior Marketing Coordinator

Lakewood - Lakewood, CO 80226 US (Primary) Education Bachelor's Degree Job Description Muller Engineering Company is seeking a highly experienced and collaborative Senior Marketing Coordinator to support pursuits across all levels of complexity and lead the full proposal process for assigned pursuits, from initial planning through final submission and interview preparation. This position is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented marketing professional with extensive AEC proposal experience who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Working in partnership with pursuit champions, technical leaders, and the Marketing Director, the Senior Marketing Coordinator will build on insights developed through positioning and pursuit planning to shape response strategy and develop high-quality, compelling, compliant, and on-brand proposals, interviews, and other pursuit materials. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of client needs and RFP requirements and use that understanding to refine messaging, strengthen win themes, translate client and competitive insight into differentiated content, and strategically position Muller for selection. This individual will also serve as a trusted advisor to pursuit leaders, bring together technical, marketing, and partner teams, independently navigate complex pursuit challenges, and exercise strong judgment as circumstances change. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead and manage the full proposal and interview process for pursuits of varying complexity, with particular responsibility for complex and strategically important efforts. Establish pursuit schedules, assignments, review processes, and expectations based on RFP requirements, evaluation criteria, and pursuit needs. Collaborate with pursuit champions, technical leaders, and the Marketing Director to shape pursuit strategy, positioning, win themes, and differentiated messaging. Translate client priorities, competitive insight, and technical information into clear, persuasive, evaluator-focused proposal content. Write, edit, restructure, and integrate proposal content, including executive summaries, approaches, team messaging, resumes, project descriptions, qualifications, and other pursuit materials. Evaluate project experience, staff qualifications, outcomes, and supporting evidence to ensure they provide strong strategic support for the response. Facilitate kickoff, strategy, progress, review, and interview-preparation meetings and coordinate multidisciplinary and multi-firm pursuit teams. Anticipate and resolve information gaps, competing priorities, schedule challenges, and other issues that could affect pursuit quality or delivery. Provide strategic direction, review, and feedback to Marketing Coordinators and other pursuit contributors as needed. Maintain accurate proposal, project, resume, contact, and pursuit information and help strengthen data quality and consistency. Improve proposal tools, templates, content, workflows, and technology use to strengthen quality, consistency, and efficiency. Use approved technology, including AI-enabled tools, strategically and responsibly to support proposal development and delivery. Develop reusable resources and share lessons learned, guidance, and best practices that strengthen future pursuits and staff capabilities. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education and/or Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field. 10+ years of AEC communications and proposal experience. Experience leading complex and strategic proposals through the full proposal lifecycle, from kickoff through final submission. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud/InDesign. Advanced CRM maintenance and strategy experience required; Unanet CRM experience is a plus. Strong judgment and the ability to remain solutions-focused when navigating complex, changing, or ambiguous situations, including recognizing when issues require escalation or a change in approach. Ability to anticipate challenges, identify available resources, and develop practical solutions while using time and resources thoughtfully. Demonstrated ability to develop and reshape persuasive, cohesive, and differentiated narratives that align pursuit strategy, client needs, team capabilities, and business priorities. Ability to constructively challenge weak assumptions, generic messaging, unsupported claims, inconsistencies, and gaps. Strong ownership of pursuit quality, strategy, momentum, and outcomes while maintaining technical accuracy, compliance, and alignment with established win strategy. Ability to establish credibility, influence contributors without formal authority, build alignment across multidisciplinary teams and partners, and keep others focused on pursuit priorities. Strong organizational and follow-through skills, including the ability to set clear expectations and proactively address obstacles that could affect results. Demonstrated self-awareness and interpersonal judgment, with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback and adapt communication to different personalities and situations. Ability to identify opportunities to improve proposal processes, tools, and workflows, apply lessons learned to future pursuits, and share knowledge with others.
