As a Med/Surg RN, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing care to post-operative and medical-surgical patients.\n Unit Specifics:\n \n Number of Beds: 48\n Patient Ratios: Aim for 1:6, typically 1:7\n Staffing: 9 nurses, 5 patient care technicians, and 1 unit secretary\n Type of Equipment: EKG, bladder scanner, ultra-light for IV insertion\n Documentation System: Meditech\n Scheduling Requirements: 3 shifts of 12 hours, every other weekend, overtime available\n Floating Policy: PRN\n \n Required Skills:\n \n Great communication skills and teamwork\n Advanced skills in wound care, I/O catheters, and trach care\n Certifications: BLS required\n \n Dress Code: Navy blue or white scrubs\n This Med/Surg unit is recognized for its outstanding teamwork and success in reducing acquired infections.
