Autism Assessment Nurse

Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) who is fully qualified in ADI-R to join a growing neurodevelopmental assessment service delivering high-quality autism assessments remotely. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive clinical team in a permanent role offering flexibility and fully remote working . You will play a key role in delivering structured autism assessments and contributing to accurate, evidence-based diagnostic outcomes for individuals and families. Main Duties and Responsibilities Deliver structured ADI-R assessments remotely in line with recognised clinical guidance. Conduct detailed interviews with parents, carers and/or individuals as part of the diagnostic process. Produce clear, high-quality clinical reports to support diagnostic decision-making. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including clinicians involved in the autism diagnostic pathway. Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are upheld and appropriate escalation procedures are followed. About the Service This organisation provides national neurodevelopmental assessment services , supporting timely access to autism diagnostic pathways. The service focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based assessments through a clinician-led model supported by modern digital systems. Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration . Demonstrable experience conducting autism diagnostic assessments . Strong clinical report writing skills. Confidence using remote consultation platforms and digital clinical systems . Experience within CAMHS, neurodevelopmental services, or learning disability services . Familiarity with additional autism assessment tools .
