Responsibilities In-person, remote, and hybrid opportunities available. St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute (SLBMI) is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Clinical Social Workers who are Generalists to join our General Mental Health Program. We are committed to growth and hire exceptional talent to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. Note: Local candidates in Missouri preferred, but not required. We are open to eligible candidates located outside the St. Louis region who may be interested in joining our team through providing telehealth services. Remote providers must be licensed in the state where they reside. Local guidance may apply for telehealth practice. Our clinicians enjoy the aspects of being an independent provider with administrative and operational support to manage what you need as a provider. Our multidisciplinary team of 70+ colleagues offer case consultation, continuing education, and program development. SLBMI emphasizes a team-oriented environment with collaboration and compassionate behavioral healthcare. Shift: Monday–Friday, dayshift. Onsite and remote work available. About the General Mental Health Program: Clinicians in this program work with patients who do not meet the severity level required for our other specialty programs. Clinicians may refer patients to specialty programs when needed; likewise, clinicians in specialty programs may refer general needs to the General Mental Health Program. You would provide general psychotherapy for a wide variety of conditions and issues. Common presenting concerns include stress management, depression, adjustment disorders, mood disorders, and substance use disorders. The majority of the caseload is traditional individual outpatient therapy, with the opportunity to run outpatient groups. Applicants with additional subspecialty interests and training are encouraged, but not required. Caseload can be tailored according to your expertise and competencies. Qualifications Interested applicants must have completed a Master’s or doctoral degree in a clinical mental health field (e.g., MSW, Professional Counselor, Ph.D.) and be fully licensed by the State of Missouri to practice independently. Remote providers must also be licensed in the state where they reside. All applicants must be credentialed-eligible for managed care panels in Missouri.
