Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer and monitor telemetry and IV drips including Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone within established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Provide patient care for adult and occasional pediatric patients, maintaining safety and comfort.
  
  
• 
  Document patient status accurately using EPIC EMR, demonstrating recent proficiency.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver effective care and respond promptly to patient needs.
  
  
• 
  Float between units as required, adjusting to various patient care settings.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to hospital policies, including infection control, safety procedures, and shift protocols.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a minimum of 2 years of IMCU/telemetry nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Possess current NC or compact RN license, with active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate recent experience with EPIC EMR.
  
  
• 
  Be comfortable managing telemetry, step-down, and pediatric patients when needed.
  
  
• 
  Reside at least 40 miles from the facility; drivers license required for verification.
  
  
• 
  Provide current NURSYS report and Qualivis Cover Sheet.
