Account Manager II Overview The Account Manager II manages a more complex or specialized book of insurance business, providing professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues. Responsibilities Service day‑to‑day client needs including fielding phone calls, e‑mail, and other communication related to coverage questions, policy changes, payments, cancellations, etc. Manage the execution of all aspects of the client renewal process: collecting updated information, marketing, negotiating terms and pricing, reviewing quotes, presenting renewal numbers to the Producer and the client (where applicable), and invoicing. Review quote documents to ensure all insurance requirements are included in the proposal. Manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction. Allocate and supervise work for Associate Account Managers I and II, ensuring their progress and workload are appropriate. Build and maintain relationships with underwriters to secure favorable results for clients and negotiate coverage. Ensure the completion and accuracy of proposals, binding of coverage, policy review, and creation of client policy summaries and binders. Set up and maintain electronic records. Apply broker best practices and internal standards for client file service and maintenance. Train and collaborate with team members to share and educate on coverage, exposures, and client knowledge. Qualifications Property & Causality License. High School Diploma or GED. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet usage. Experience with EPIC Agency Management System preferred but not required. Four or more years of insurance brokerage experience, or property and casualty insurance experience in an account management role, preferred. Knowledge & Skills Effective oral and written communication with internal and external customers. Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public. Computer skills: proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and agency management systems. Critical thinking: use logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches. Desire to learn and grow within the insurance industry. Confidence and demeanor to interact effectively with all organizational levels. Develop and maintain strong client relationships; collaborate with vendors to meet client needs. Respond to customer needs and solicit feedback to improve service; handle difficult or emotional situations promptly and accurately. Calculate figures and amounts (discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages). Gather pertinent information, analyze, and solve problems efficiently and thoroughly. Prioritize and organize multiple tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines with accuracy. Working Conditions & Physical Demands This position primarily involves remaining in a stationary position for the majority of the workday. It requires frequent communication with colleagues and clients in person and by telephone, constant use of a computer and other office productivity equipment, and occasional movement within the office to access file cabinets and machinery.
