Job Summary

Clinic – West Allis, WI: The clinic professional will support an adult pulmonary medicine practice serving patients with a broad range of respiratory conditions. Responsibilities include patient triage, medication education, order entry, portal communication, medication refills, and coordination of ambulatory clinical services in a collaborative setting.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of clinic experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; valid driver’s license and personal transportation; experience with adult pulmonary patient populations, in-basket management, prior authorization paperwork, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) documentation, order entry, oxygen walking evaluations, medication education, sick-call triage, patient portal communication, and medication refills; ambulatory EPIC experience; ability to manage multiple priorities, multitask, and demonstrate punctuality, reliability, flexibility, and adaptability.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pulmonary, cardiology, or primary or urgent care experience.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a set schedule and 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role supports adult patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, chronic cough, sleep medicine needs, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) use, obstructive sleep apnea, snoring, shortness of breath, smoking-related concerns, and oxygen therapy needs. Responsibilities include working with providers, conducting oxygen walking evaluations, educating patients on medications, managing portal questions, and supporting medication refill processes. The clinic is closed on weekends and holidays, with no on-call responsibilities. Department orientation is provided, and professional solid-color attire without graphics, logos, or designs is required.
