Our North American operations are growing, offering a collaborative, fast-paced environment where employees have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and growth together with the company.The Production Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Production Manager and Assistant Production Manager while providing leadership, guidance, and training to production leads and associates. This role is also responsible for ensuring safety, product quality, material availability, workforce accountability, and the efficient delivery of cost-effective products to customers.Key Responsibilities:Ensure products are inspected prior to shipment and properly stored, packaged, and prepared for deliveryInvestigate and follow up on customer shortages, damages, and related issuesMaintain 100% adherence to the daily production schedule and ensure on-time delivery to CDC to meet customer demandControl labor costs by minimizing overtime while meeting production and labor standardsEnsure all employees receive required training and maintain 100% training complianceCoordinate with temporary staffing agencies to ensure adequate daily and weekly workforce coverageProvide leadership coverage for the Production Manager or Assistant Production Manager during their absenceWork with inventory control to create a schedule from VTSCollaborate with QA, Material Control, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve operational issues and achieve production targetsAssist in developing a system to trigger audits for variance of what was produced versus shippedAssist in developing a system to ensure line leaders are cross-training employees on critical skills, evaluate on a weekly basisAssist in evaluating and developing a plan to improve meat slicing and minimize slippageFollow guidelines and check sheets set up by QA to monitor appearance and undesirable products, so a quality product is sent to the customer dailyEnforce food safety throughout the production processTrack daily productivity and share results with the teamEnsure weekly schedule is posted in a timely mannerFollow up from R&D meeting and ensure issues are resolvedParticipate daily, weekly, and monthly meetings to report the results or problems and suggest the improvementsPrepare and track daily production reportReview and approve production teams' timecards, timecard correction requests, and time off requestsAssist in coordinating and preparing the weekly production schedule and update and share with the team as neededAdditional Responsibilities:Perform other duties as assigned.The Company reserves the right to modify, add, or remove duties and responsibilities of this role as needed to meet business requirements.Qualifications:Required:High school diploma3+ years of experience in the food manufacturing industryEnglish and Spanish proficiency in both oral and writtenBasic MS Office skillsExperience working with USDA and FDA regulatory requirements and compliance processesActively listens and communicates clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms, adapting to the audienceLeadership skills to lead team and motivate employeesAbility to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to work on holidays, weekends, and overtime as neededFlexible mindset with the ability to adapt to change and learn quicklyAbility to work onsite (remote work is not an option)Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis at the time the employment begins and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status.
