ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a professional, English/Spanish bilingual Front Desk Legal Assistant to serve as the welcoming presence and administrative anchor for our Immigration Unit. This role requires exceptional organization, compassionate client interaction, and the ability to maintain composure in a high-volume legal services environment.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and manage the Immigration Unit master calendar, ensuring all consultations, client appointments, hearings, and staff commitments are scheduled accurately and updated in real time. Screen potential clients for immigration legal services and gather preliminary intake details. Welcome clients and visitors upon arrival, facilitating a smooth check-in process. Manage high volume communications by routing phone calls, returning inquiries, drafting standard client correspondence, and taking accurate messages. Deliver direct Spanish/English interpretation for staff and coordinate third party telephonic interpreter services when necessary. Support digital and physical case management, including entering new intakes into the case management server and preparing files for consultations. Process incoming and outgoing mail, manage office deliveries, and maintain organized digital records through document scanning and filing.
