Manufacturing Technician *5th Shift*

Location US-AZ-TUCSON-801 ~ 1151 E Hermans Rd ~ BLDG 801 (External Site) Position Overview Manufacturing Technician – Weekend Shift (Friday – Sunday). 5th shift premium of $1.10 per hour. 30‑minute unpaid lunch. 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Responsibilities Lay out, lay up, and fabricate composite parts. Assemble, disassemble, install, modify, and inspect complex precision assemblies. Prepare surfaces, apply coating, and perform coating‑related processes. Perform electrical and mechanical in‑process checks, analysis, and rework of parts and assemblies. Make wiring, continuity, and component checks using electronic theory and circuit analysis. Prepare, fabricate, bond, and assemble various composite parts. Utilize various fabrication technologies. Manufacture and assemble developmental and engineering prototype hardware when necessary. Set up, adjust, and operate complex assembly machines and micro equipment for assembly, fabrication, test, and inspection. Meet visual acuity and role‑specific requirements, including soldering proficiency. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalency. Ability to work any designated shift, including overnight. Minimum one year manufacturing experience, including at least one of the following: Work from schematics, drawings, work instructions, or planning. Basic solder operations. Install, assemble, or modify electronic and/or electromechanical assemblies in a manufacturing environment. Process operations of metal, plastics, and/or composites (e.g., decaling, masking, sanding, stenciling, chemical cleaning, bonding, mixing of bonding/paint materials). Pass qualifying and/or practical test. Obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance prior to start date. Obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance. Security Clearance U.S. Secret clearance required. Ability to obtain and maintain the clearance prior to the start date is mandatory. Clearance process handled by the Department of Defense through DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services.
