Experienced CNC Machinist – Precision Wire EDM Opportunity | Charlotte, NC A manufacturing organization within the machinery industry is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with strong Wire EDM experience to support precision machining and production operations. This role is ideal for a hands‑on machinist capable of operating with minimal training while supporting high‑precision manufacturing processes across CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM equipment. The ideal candidate has strong programming abilities, blueprint reading expertise, and experience maintaining strict quality standards within production environments. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, troubleshooting machining issues, and maintaining consistent production quality while learning company‑specific products and workflows. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM machines Support precision machining operations within manufacturing environments Operate and maintain Wire EDM equipment with high accuracy standards Experience with Makino equipment is highly preferred Programming & Machine Setup Program and edit G‑code and conversational machine programs Select, align, and mount cutting tools, attachments, and workpieces Adjust machine settings and tooling for optimal production performance Troubleshoot machining and setup issues as needed Quality Control & Inspection Inspect finished components using: Micrometers Calipers Verify blueprint and GD&T compliance Maintain strict quality standards throughout production processes Identify and correct dimensional or machining inconsistencies Maintenance & Documentation Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Maintain production logs and routing documentation Complete quality tracking and material tracking forms Maintain organized and safe work areas Safety & Compliance Follow OSHA safety standards and manufacturing procedures Maintain clean and organized workstations Utilize PPE and safe machining practices Support operational efficiency and production quality initiatives Requirements Minimum 4 years of CNC machining and Wire EDM experience required Strong experience operating and programming CNC equipment Experience with: CNC lathes Strong G‑code and conversational programming experience Ability to interpret complex GD&T and blueprint drawings Strong shop math and trigonometry knowledge Experience using precision measuring instruments Ability to work independently with minimal training Strong attention to detail and quality standards Preferred Qualifications Experience with: Mastercam Fanuc controls Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities Experience within high‑precision machining environments Manufacturing or machinery industry experience Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand for extended periods Comfortable working within manufacturing and machining environments Onsite manufacturing facility Precision machining and production environment Fast‑paced manufacturing operations Team‑oriented production setting High focus on quality, accuracy, and safety Ideal Candidate Experienced CNC machinist with strong Wire EDM expertise Able to contribute immediately with minimal onboarding Detail‑oriented and quality‑focused Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Reliable, safety‑conscious, and production‑driven Comfortable working independently within manufacturing environments #J-18808-Ljbffr
